Pablo Picasso, often recognized as one of the most exceptional artists of the 20th century, was a painter and sculptor from Spain. His creations are among the most renowned and influential worldwide. Early in his career, he gained notoriety with his Blue Period followed by his Rose Period, before venturing into Cubism. His painting Boy with a Pipe was auctioned in 2004 for an impressive $104 million, making it one of Picasso's most expensive oil paintings. He received artistic lessons from his father, himself a renowned artist. Subsequently, he continued his studies in Barcelona and later in Paris, where he had the opportunity to meet many contemporary art masters. After an inspiring trip to Italy in 1917, Picasso began producing neoclassical works, followed by a surrealist phase. He died in 1973 in France, leaving an impressive legacy of approximately 50,000 artistic creations.
