The film is made from PET or TPH – both transparent, durable plastics that repel water and oil. PET variants in different thicknesses (2mil and 4mil) offer basic protection and are particularly economical. TPH films are even more robust and come with various surface finishes: The glossy version reflects light and looks elegant, while the matte finish appears more natural and makes fingerprints less visible. There are specialized variants for solid wood furniture that preserve the wood grain, and separate versions for modern surfaces like natural stone (ceramic/ceramic tiles). The film is simply cut to size and applied – if needed, with the supplied tools such as a squeegee and cutting knife.
