The film is made from PET or TPH – both transparent, durable plastics that repel water and oil. PET variants in different thicknesses (2mil and 4mil) provide basic protection and are particularly economical. TPH films are even sturdier and come with various surface finishes: The glossy variant reflects light and looks elegant, while the matte version appears more natural and makes fingerprints less visible. For real wood furniture, there are specialized variants that preserve the wood grain, and for modern surfaces like natural stone (ceramic/ceramic tiles), there are specific versions. The film is simply cut to size and applied – if necessary, using the included tools such as squeegee and cutting knife.
